Yoga. Begins when you step off your mat.
“Yoga is a dance between control and surrender — between pushing and letting go — and when to push and to let go becomes part of the creative process, part of the open-ended exploration of your well-being “
Yoga truly begins when we step off our mats and into our days.
How you carry yourself throughout life is a direct reflection of your internal wellbeing. If our inside is unsteady or in a state of unrest our outside will only know that as our reality.
Yoga teaches us how to “Control and Surrender”.
How to control our breath, how to control our thoughts, and how to surrender to what IS and what IS NOT. How to accept what is in our control and to surrender to what is not. How to push to our edge but to notice when we have reached it, and to let go of the need to push past it. It teaches us how to accept and meet ourselves exactly where we are.
“You cannot always control what goes on outside, but you can always control what goes on inside.”
Yoga teaches us that we are only in control of ourselves, and to focus purely on finding peace and acceptance with that. To bring our best self to each day, and not to be affected by the actions thoughts and words of others…. This is not an easy task, I admit. Which simply means we need more YOGA.
